Sniper Rokh Empty Sniper Rokh

Ok, with increased talk about sniper fleets I had a quick glance at my sniper rokh skillplan and noticed I had about 10 days to be able to fly a sniper fitted rokh.

Here is the current fit I was going with:

Well. with all level V's... couldn't you fit t2 guns? Razz

But honestly, I cannot offer any constructive critism.

If this is a gank fit, then I'd lose the tank. Get rid of the invul fields and possibly the DCU II (I'm torn on the DCU, someone else with more expertise should chime in here)

Well, I'm not planning on fitting in the training for T2 guns anytime soon so went for the better meta ones instead Smile

Also there isn't enough pg left to fit a mwd though could drop an invul for an AB.

for pvp, would drop one of the eccms and 1 sebo. Could use a prop mod. Also, might consider some extra buffer

You can't jam from far away anymore, so you don't need ECCM. Damage control is nice to have so you take about twice as long to kill. You could drop the enhancers for more mag stabs and then put on tracking computers in the mids to compensate.

At all 5 this gives:
425 dps (cn antimatter, no drones), 177 dps (cn iron, no drones)
1822 volley (cn am), 759 volley (cn iron)
53+41 range with CN antimatter, 168+41 w/ CN iron
EHP 123,879
resists: 54.1, 63.2, 72.4, 77
Cap lasts 8 min 56 seconds w/ MWD off (The situation you plan to go into means your railguns won't be permanently firing so it's not real important that this is cap stable; if cap is important, replace a LSE II with a Electrochemical L Booster, which drops EHP to roughly 100k)

This fit makes you more survivable as you go through gates, allows you to pulse a mwd to get a faster warp, let's you target up to 180km so you can use Iron charges (since you don't have t2 range ammo) but maintains the damage present with the 425's (alternatively, you can just add a scan res script if 180km isn't your thing)

Also, this fit I believe has enough space for a full rack of T2's.

My reasoning for the two sebos was this:

With one sebo scan script, and one sebo no script + the ionic field projector rig I get 182k lock range and 6.7 sec lock on a cruiser.
With two scan scripts thats 140k range and 5.6 seconds.

With just one sebo and targetting range you get 180k but its 13.6s lock time.

Add in the fact you will be in a fleet, hopefully with a FC that has proper leadership skills which will add 10% scan res and 10% lock range. Then consider the only things that can hit you out at that distance is another BS which should only take about 5 secs to lock.

Regarding sniper your looking at range and alpha, use the largest available. Lag in large fleet engagements are horrid as is, can usually only get in 1-2 shots. Smaller engagements you want high alpha as well to overwhelm the logistics support in the enemy fleet, get a few alpha bses and a recon is going down in 1 volley from their guns.
